Taco 006-DM-PK Cartridge D'Mand Circulator Pump, With Plumbing Kit, 1/40 HP, 1/2" MNPT Connection Taco's 006-DM-PK Model is a cartridge style, maintenance free, self-lubricating, circulator pump. Taco's D'Mand cartridge circulators are specially designed to be operational all 24 hours in order to provide on demand hot water, while saving water and energy. This unit is designed to be a compact, silent pump that is to be attached to the hot and cold water lines in remote kitchen or bath fixtures. Once activated, the pump recirculates the cool water back to the water heater, making sure you don't waste resources. While on demand, the pump is able to circulate the hot water from the water heater while returning the cold water back to the water heater. Once the hot water arrives at the fixture, the system shuts off the pump to ensure that excess hot water is not pumped into the cold water line.
